El Nino!

I used to be a big fan of Fernand-who To**es, but let's say it's just one of a mild romanticism in the past. Now that he's gone to another English club, everything just doesn't feel okay. No, I won't bring him down, did we use to have wonderful times together, did we use to cheer and bounce everytime he scored? As Kenny Dalglish said: "Players come and go, but the club stands still". I just want to say good luck to him. Good luck on finally "joining a big club" and being on your way to win something! (oh wow, so we smashed the big club last night? i thought it was some of plastic clubs!)!

But well, just don't blame me on enjoying this motion picture though... XD

pictures above are from last night's game, Chelsea vs Liverpool that ended 0-1.

football inside

"Same old Terry, always cheating."
Blackburn fans after a foul by Chelsea captain John Terry.

Celtic fans: "Shall we sing a song for you?"
Arsenal fans: "Shall we score a goal for you?" Heard at the Emirates during the Champions League game.

"Tina, Tina, give us a wave!"
Wolves fans take the mickey out of David James' 'Tina Turner' afro at Portsmouth.

"Adebayor, Adebayor - he scores more than Berbatov, who cost a lot more. Adebayor, Adebayor, but when we sign Torres he's out of the door." Manchester City fans.

"Daddy, Daddy, help me out!"
Blackpool supporters to Preston manager Darren Ferguson in the Lancashire Derby at Deepdale. Sir Alex was in the crowd.

"Tell ya ma, ya ma,
To wipe away all your tears,
No trophies for 15 years,
Tell ya ma, ya ma."
Liverpool fans to Everton.

"You all came here to watch the Leeds."
The usual chants from the Leeds fans before kick-off at Swindon.

"You all came here to watch the Town!"
Swindon fans 90 minutes later, after their 3-0 win.

"We want our Fergie time!"
Burnley fans on seeing the board indicate a minimum of three minutes added time at Old Trafford.

"Oh Nicky Bailey you're the love of my life, oh Nicky Bailey I'll let you (kiss) my wife, oh Nicky Bailey I want ginger hair toooooo!"
Charlton fans to the tune of 'You're Just Too Good To Be True'.

"Are you Sandra in Disguise?"
Following Darren Bent's penalty miss at White Hart Lane, referring to Harry Redknapp's wife. Last season, Redknapp said of Bent 'My missus could have scored that'.

"You've got to file, file, file, file, file for divorce.."
Stoke fans away at Chelsea directed at Ashley Cole to the tune of her wife's Fight For This Love

"This is what it's like to be City,
"This is what it's like to be small.
"This is what it's like to be a team that wins nothing at all."
Man Utd fans give some back at Fulham while 3-0 down - to the tune of Inspiral Carpets' This Is How It Feels.

THE DAMNED UNITED (2009)

Saya suka sekali kalo ada acara festival film. Soalnya, you can find any interesting movies outside Hollywood, and just so you know I disrespect many of Hollywood movies nowadays because their lack of creativityI mean, they're monotonous.
Nah, waktu pertama denger Jiffest tahun ini (2009), langsung saya liat sinopsis-sinopsis film yang bakal ditayangkan. Daaan, I spotted my eyes on this movie, for one good reason that this one is about footballSo here we go, I'll tell you what it's like.

First thing first, The Damned United is a semi-fictionalized account of Brian Clough, the greatest British manager England national team NEVER had.

Yeah, it's Leeds United. So, dia berupaya agar everything in Derby homebase is perfect. Mulai dari nyiramin rumput stadion, bersihin bak mandi, sampai menaruh jeruk di atas handuk kamar ganti (he did some of it himself).

Revie bahkan gak datang ke ruang kerja Clough, as he expected. Bahkan sehabis pertandingan, Revie malah menyalami Peter Taylor, not him, meskipun pada saat itu si Clough memang sedang menyalakan rokok. Alhasil Clough jadi tersinggung berat, apalagi the whole world knows Don Revie adalah tipe manajer yang akan melacak betul-betul tim-tim yang akan mereka hadapi. Seterusnya, Clough mengejar apapun yang dilakukan Revie. He tried the best for his team, caranya melatih memaksimalkan gabung pemain-pemain muda yang relatively unknown, pemain senior, dan pemain veteran yang keliatan seperti diujung karir (does it remind you of Sir Alex?). And it still reminds me of Sir Alex, yang di awal karirnya ngelatih MU cuma bertekad untuk menggeser dominasi Liverpool. That's exactly what Clough did, dan hasilnya Derby berhasil promosi ke divisi 1 sebagai juara divisi 2, lalu 2 musim berikutnya mereka menjuarainya!

Ia lalu dipecat, dan during this time, he got offer from Leeds. Tapi Clough gak peduli, he thought that this could be his chance to show them how good he is. Mereka bertengkar dan akhirnya berpisah sebagai partner.

You can conclude the rest then. Clough akhirnya melatih Leeds dan dia dipecat 44 hari kemudian. But the story is more enchanting than what I have told you. Seriously, if you are a football fan, you gotta watch this one. Last time I checked Rotten Tomatoes they rated this movie 91% certified fresh.
Well, I know there are some people talking about inaccurate history, but I'm just talking about their story telling and cinematography. One of the best football movie I've ever known - I don't like Goal trilogy if you ask.
